Overview
A cross-functional Bond Development Committee (BDC) of approximately 50 staff, students, Board representatives, community members, partner organizations, and industry experts has been convened to help review and recommend items for our 2026 bond package. The committee is co-chaired by former Hillsboro Mayor and Hillsboro School District administrator Steve Callaway, and former Hillsboro School Board member and City of Hillsboro staff member Erika Lopez. The full list of participants is below.
Fall 2025 Meetings will be held on the following dates:
- Thursday, September 18
- Thursday, October 2
- Wednesday, October 15
- Thursday, October 30
- Thursday, November 13
- Wednesday, December 3
Video recordings of each BDC meeting (Zoom capture), slides, and minutes are available at the links above.
Following the initial BDC meetings, the district will host community open houses in January and February 2026, so constituents can learn more about the district’s needs and proposed bond packages. After gathering feedback from those open house events, the BDC will reconvene to refine the proposed packages into a single recommendation to be presented to the School Board for their approval in the spring.
